Small and cheap crockpots I could experiment with to melt wax?

I recently read this forum post: http://www.crockpotable.com/threads/candle-making.74/ about using a crockpot to melt candle wax and my husband agrees that it would be a great idea (plus, I tend to mess up our kitchen on a monthly basis with my crafting).

Anyone know any brands of small and cheap crockpots I could experiment with in case it doesn't work so well? I'm also hoping for cheap because I'd like to have three set up for different color families, maybe even four. Having them smaller would definitely be helpful in that case.

Thank you in advance!

For crafts you should browse some thrift shops or area Goodwill stores. I found 3 really old ones at a Goodwill. They looked to be at least 10 years old. All of them work perfectly and have lids. The best thing is that I only paid $3.00 for the old style, tall ones. They are quite ugly with their retro brown and orange floral patterns but at $3.00 a pop, I can't complain!
