Ingredients:

6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
3 1/2 cups of homemade chicken bone broth
1/2 of a large white onion - chopped
4 large cloves of garlic - smashed
1 1/2 cups shredded carrots
4 cups of chopped kale
1 1/2 tsp. parsley
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Place washed whole chicken thighs in the slow cooker. Layer with onions. Then add smashed garlic and broth. The real key to the yummy flavor of this soup is in the homemade bone broth. Let the chicken cook with the onions and garlic on low for about 4 to 6 hours. The chicken will start to come apart. Use a fork to separate it a bit more into chunks. Then add your carrots, kale, parsley and salt & pepper. Let cook for about another hour.

my co-worker raved about a turkey and kale soup at our local store. I bought it and I don't know what they put in it but it was horrible. With this recipe and all recipes on this forum I know exactly what's in my soup. Thank you so much.
